The Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) is an entry level certification program from SITE. The CIS training covers the fundamentals of incentives, the origins of incentive programs and incentive travel, for a broad comprehension of the incentive travel industry. ACTUA DMC personnel have taken the CIS training.

The National Chamber of Tourism of Costa Rica (CANATUR) was founded as a nonprofit organization to bring together the chambers, associations, and private tourism companies in the country to represent the national tourism industry.
